Louis Vuitton has named American figure skater Alysa Liu as its latest House Ambassador, adding another young sporting figure to the Maison’s world of fashion, performance and modern celebrity.
Liu is best known for her figure skating career, but recently she has also become a visible presence in fashion. She attended Louis Vuitton’s AW26 show and appeared at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in a custom look by the house.
The announcement follows a strong few months for Liu, who won Olympic gold at the 2026 Winter Games and has since become increasingly visible in fashion. She attended Louis Vuitton’s AW26 show and also wore a custom Louis Vuitton look to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
Liu said the appointment was “an honour and a privilege”, adding that it felt especially meaningful “for a figure skater to be recognised in this way.” She described skating as a balance of strength and softness, saying that as a Louis Vuitton ambassador she can show both her style and her athletic side.
Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections, said Liu “embodies the modern Louis Vuitton woman”, describing her as confident, creative and fearless.
At 20, Liu is still early in both her sporting and fashion journey, but her relationship with Louis Vuitton is already becoming more visible. After front-row appearances, custom looks and now an official ambassador role, she looks set to become one of the house’s more interesting young names to watch.
